I’m weary of people in our midst having to edure sickness and pain while the church has no power to heal. I hate that we do not see the blind see and the lame walk as a part of our ministry in a house of prayer. And that those afflicted with pain and illness are some of the most faithful intercessors and sincere lovers of God. I know the day will come. It’s promised. Restoration will come. Healing will come. It’s “in this hope that we are saved”. We are saved through the blood of Jesus and the salvation is unto LIFE. Death was never meant to be a part of our lives. Jesus came to bring about the reversal of the curse. He entered into the fullness of death to DEFEAT it. This is why I am so tired of people dying and being subjected to sickness and pain.
All of that said, I have a dear friend who needs a miracle. Angie Baird is one of the most sweet and sincere people you will ever meet. She loves Jesus more than anything. She is a fiery intercessor, filled with the burdens of the Lord.
This past week she went to the hospital with some diabtetes relation issues, and the doctors ran some tests, including a heart cath. What they found is that she basically has the heart of a 65 year-old woman. Angie has two blocked arteries, one at 90% the other 100%. Needless to say, the situation is serious. She will be undergoing open heart surgery on Thursday morning to correct the problems. This is huge. She needs prayer. She needs a completely restored heart.
So, back to my knees I go. Jesus has already borne this on her behalf. I know it is already covered in His blood… still we pray. HE IS ABLE. He didn’t accept the loss of His Bride to sin, He came and made atonement, and bought her back with His blood. We will see the day when we no longer have to accept sickness and pain and death.
“And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts…“ Revelation 21:3-6
